Our society is largely based on norms, which can make it very difficult when you don’t quite fit into them. Whether queer or straight, cis or trans – our identity is a part of who we are.
There are many different queer identities, and maybe you’ll find yourself represented in the LGBTQIA+ acronym, just like we do – Sam in the T and Q, Leon in the G, Laura in the A, and Flora in the + and A.

We’re part of the Being Queer committee at Hochschule Niederrhein, advocating for LGBTQIA+ students.

What do we offer?

✔ One-on-one support: You can talk to us about your experiences – (anonymously) via email or in person. We’ll listen, support you, and help you plan your next steps. Of course, given the complexity of these topics, there are still many questions we’re figuring out ourselves. Being part of the community doesn’t automatically make us experts in every area. We’re learning all the time – just like you. And of course, we’ve already lived through many queer experiences, so we can probably answer quite a few of your questions. No matter how big or small your concern might be, feel free to reach out to us.

✔ Parties and networking opportunities: We organize events to create an LGBTQIA+ safer space for you. There you can meet other queer students, exchange ideas, and just have fun. We’re excited to see you at the PrideProgress networking events!
