Have you experienced or witnessed discrimination? We are here for you. The Anti-Discrimination Unit of the AStA at Hochschule Niederrhein offers a confidential and low-threshold support service for students who have experienced discrimination or feel unsure how to deal with it.

What do we offer?

✔️ One-on-one support: You can talk to us about your experiences – anonymously via email or in person. We will listen, support you, and help you plan your next steps.

✔️ Information & guidance: We inform you about your rights, show you available complaint options, and assist with formal requests or conversations with the university.

✔️ Referral & networking: If necessary, we will connect you with specialized counseling services.

What can we support you with?

Discrimination based on gender, origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics
Racist, sexist, ableist, or queerphobic incidents
Sexualized violence or boundary violations
Discriminatory or problematic behavior or remarks by teaching staff or fellow students
Feeling unsure how to respond to experienced discrimination

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our social and financial assistance services are exclusively intended for students enrolled at Hochschule Niederrhein.
